Hello!

Welcome to my little postcard corner! I'm Alexandra. I've been living in the Netherlands for seven years already, after moving from Moscow, Russia for work. I love playing video games, learning Dutch, travelling (bringing piles of postcards from wherever I go), and spending time with my husband and our two adorable Papillion dogs. One of them, Chantal, shares my profile pic with me. I worked in game development for many years, but at the moment I'm taking a break.

Some things I'm into:

• Transportation: trains (I am crazy about Streamliners! And a bit less crazy about steam trains), train stations, subways, airplanes, trams, funiculars, etc.
• Art: modern art, avant-garde, impressionism, pointillism, industrial design, primitivism, cubism, rayonism. I am somewhat less into contemporary and classic art, but I am always curious about your local, less-known artists.
• Early or mid 20th-century architecture: art deco, modernism, brutalism.
• Food: illustrated food, recipes, regional specialties. I don't really cook, but I love to explore.
• Urban illustrations: streets, buildings, city scenes, cafes, bookshops
• Eurovision 2025 - it's my soft spot!
• Abandoned places: especially bus stops and other artifacts of human life. The more dystopian, the better.
• Industrial sites. Steelworks, huge mining excavators. If it looks mindblowing, it would be awesome!
• Art homages and parodies
• Cold War, soviet dystopia, nuclear arms race, and vintage propaganda pieces.
• Troubled Birds
• Maps - Especially metro/public transport maps
• Road signs
• Lantern Press (except "Protect Our Parks" - I have those)
• LouPaper States (not only from their state of origin; I have AL/AR/CA/CO/OH/IL/VA/WI, and on the way RI/AK/HI/MI)
• Animation and Games: Studio Ghibli, Makoto Shinkai, Frieren, Genshin Impact, Pokémon, World of Warcraft, Don't Starve, Dandadan, Delicious in Dungeon, Sakamoto
